Singapore, the sparkling glass city

Singapore felt more like an extremely well-run company than a nation. It was a testament to how the desperation for survival can create a powerful organization.

Kuala Lumpur, a cultural puzzle for travelers

Kuala Lumpur is a city that offers all the essentials for travelers without being overly expensive. Resorts with pools are a common sight, and overall prices are affordable, making it a great place to stay.

Shanghai, China Modern Luxury

Arriving after a short flight, Shanghai was a far cry from what I'd imagined. I encountered uniquely Chinese brands rarely seen in major cities around the world, and it was a sophisticated city with a depth that transcended the vain displays of wealth.

Hanoi, the light green leaves fluttering in the wind

This was my third visit to Vietnam. In Nha Trang, I experienced the leisurely pace of a resort seaside town, and in Ho Chi Minh City, I felt the energy of a rapidly growing city. This time, in Hanoi, I felt a calm charm distinct from other cities in Vietnam. I was worried about the exhaust fumes from motorbikes and the often-open kitchens (for Koreans), but these concerns were completely eliminated on this trip. The streets are wide and pedestrian-friendly, and the plethora of stylish cafes and restaurants made for a delightful dining experience. Hanoi (Hà Nội) is the capital of Vietnam and the political and […]

Milan, a delightful dance celebrating the rich life

I discovered a wonderful clothing store in Korea. The colors and shapes were so unusual that I asked where they got them. They told me Milan. So, I decided to visit Milan at the end of my European trip. Honestly, I didn't know much about Milan except for Design Week, so I wasn't expecting much. I was just hoping to find some cool vintage clothes. But Milan turned out to be a much more wonderful city than I expected. The always cheerful and friendly staff, always explaining the menu, were a delight.

Berlin, Freedom Without Standards

I came from London to Berlin, but because of the UK's Brexit, there were additional immigration checks, so there were a lot of people. I was confused because the passport check took longer than the flight time. I recommend that you do not go to another EU country from London if possible. Maybe it was because I was not feeling well, but I didn't like anything about Brandenburg Airport. I hated the brown signs and the colorful bears. I visited Berlin 10 years ago. I have a passion for pure art […]

London, faded colours and soft finishes

The first thing I saw when I arrived in London was the gray sky. The washed-out colors made it look like a filter was put on the camera. On the way from the airport to the city center, I saw wide plains and many red brick houses. It was a flat area with no hills, so it was easy to walk. The only painful part was the subway stairs. There were old stations without lifts, so I had to choose carefully. Primrose Hill, which is called a hill, is […]

Yangyang, different aspirations of day and night

I had a great opportunity to go on a vacation to Yangyang. I don't like to move my body that much, so I didn't enjoy surfing myself, but I could feel the energy created by the unique culture. I knew that Yangyang was a surfing mecca, but I didn't know much about it. I was born and raised on the east coast, so I was used to the beaches, but it was so unfamiliar that I wondered if I was really in Korea. In particular, the day and night had completely different atmospheres. The daytime, which resembled the hot sun […]

Busan, hot energy and cool freedom

I visited Busan once to give a congratulatory speech at a friend's wedding. I only spent a day there, but there were so many interesting places. I had good memories of that time, so I went on a summer vacation with my wife. It was really hot. I was sweating profusely because of the humidity, and the hot air made it hard to breathe. Big men rode by on fancy motorcycles. For some reason, Busan people seemed to be indifferent. The night I arrived, the heat in the Seomyeon alley near my accommodation was incredible. The clubs were […]

Chiang Mai, elephants leisurely walking on clouds

Leaving Bangkok, a city steeped in countless stories from ancient times to the present, I headed north. Chiang Mai is well-known as a city of leisure and relaxation. Trying to make the most of Bangkok in a short timeframe led me to run around the city nonstop, and the scorching sun made it difficult to fully immerse myself. So, I left the bustling city of Bangkok and headed to Chiang Mai, a more laid-back mecca for digital nomads. After a short flight, I arrived at the airport, a 10-minute drive from the city center. […]

Bangkok, the land of gods adorned with sparkling jewels

This summer, I wanted to experience a travel destination that I could enjoy without pressure. After considering several potential destinations, I chose Thailand, the hub of travel in Southeast Asia. Since my last trip to Ho Chi Minh was interesting, I was also looking forward to Thailand, which has its own unique character. Bangkok was an unknown city to me. I only heard that it is the most visited travel destination by people from all over the world and a destination that will amaze you with a nightlife that goes beyond your imagination. Thailand is an East Asian country that was not colonized […] ]

Tokyo, their own good

As soon as I arrived at my accommodation, I went to a nearby izakaya. The skewers were absolutely delicious. I usually can't eat liver, but the dish was so good that I suddenly realized, "Oh, this is liver!" After trying some beer, I understood why people sing Japanese beer songs. I was also surprised to find that smoking was still allowed indoors. There are plenty of casual places near my accommodation, Shimokitazawa, where I could enjoy a casual meal. […]
