While existing Moments were important moments that showcased a creator's growth, they functioned as individual signals, failing to create a unified experience. To address this, illo collaborated with the YouTube team to design a visual system centered on light, color, and motion.
The key is “using light as a language.” Each graphic functions like a light source, expressing depth and emotion through the interaction of gradients, glow, and color. By combining this with cinematic flow and fast motion points, we have expanded it from a simple notification into an experience that elicits an emotional response.
