Rumors of iPhone 20th Anniversary Model Featuring Curved Glass Design Wrapping Around the Sides

Curved glass edges of the expected iPhone 20th anniversary design

There are rumors that Apple will unveil a new glass-centric design in 2027, marking the 20th anniversary of the iPhone. The design features front and back glass that extends to the sides, with reduced screen bezels and camera cutouts. This has not yet been officially announced by Apple, and the design and scope of application may change during the development process.

The most significant change being discussed is the device's edges. The structure features glass on the front and back that curves at the edges, with a thin metal frame placed between them. It connects the boundary where flat surfaces meet the sides with a curved surface. While there are rumors that the entire device will be made of glass, there is also talk that the design increases the proportion of glass while maintaining the metal frame.

There are also rumors that the screen extends to the front edges. The design features reduced bezels and curved edges on all four sides. However, it has not been confirmed whether only the cover glass bends or to what extent the actual screen is curved.

There is also talk of moving the front camera and face recognition sensor to the bottom of the screen. If implemented, this could reduce the hole or cut-out area at the top of the screen. Both methods of hiding the sensors entirely and moving only some of them to the bottom are being discussed. It has also not been confirmed whether both curved glass and a hole-free screen will be applied to the same model.

There are rumors that the 2027 Pro and Pro Max models will be included. With talk of a separate commemorative model and rumors that some early designs were canceled, the final product lineup remains unknown. The name 'iPhone 20' is also a tentative designation. Specific release dates, prices, and dimensions require official confirmation.

The attached image is a concept representing the expected design and is not a photo of the actual product.
