Visa Overhauls Brand Design from Payment Screens to Ads

Visa has revamped its brand design to align with the digital payment environment. Officially announced on October 21, 2026, this initiative covers typography, photography, illustrations, motion, and digital design. While retaining the Visa name and existing logo, the visual elements representing the brand have been adjusted.

Visa explained that the reorganization was driven by the diversification of channels through which consumers encounter brands. This flow involves discovering products on social media, verifying information in communities, and then making a purchase via an app or in a store. The goal is to connect presentation systems so that the same brand can be recognized across different screens and spaces.

The new design is applied to digital products, marketing, partnerships, and sponsorship activities. It covers not only a single logo but also images and movement. Examples of application released by Visa include social content featuring portraits alongside payment-related messages, and images combining cards with everyday objects.

Visa also mentioned a change in which AI participates in the process of researching and comparing products. The explanation is that brands must be distinguishable even in environments where selection and purchasing are performed on behalf of humans. This redesign is an effort to extend the brand awareness built on card and payment screens to various digital touchpoints. Detailed visual elements and application examples can be found at the Official Brand Center.
