Nike ACG Relaunch Experience Train

Nike unveiled an immersive train during the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics to announce the relaunch of its ACG brand. By converting an Italian commuter train to operate a route from downtown Milan to the Alps, Nike showcased the world of its outdoor line through a travel experience. The train is named the All Condition Express.

The train's exterior is unified in orange, the symbol of the ACG. The interior is divided into seating cars, a café car, an equipment compartment, and a recovery area. The seating cars are decorated with orange fabric and headrests featuring the logo. The café car incorporates coffee service and souvenir sales, inspired by the atmosphere of a mountain lodge.

In the recovery space, various types of seating and fireplace setups were arranged. Binoculars, cabinets, and ACG props were also placed there to create the impression of a base camp. The equipment compartment emphasized testing and storage, and a scaled-down train model set was installed to reinforce the symbolism of the project.

This production is characterized by the prominent placement of the triangular ACG logo instead of the Nike Swoosh. This suggests an intention to re-establish the brand as an independent entity. In fact, it has been reported that Nike-sponsored athletes such as Yannick Sinner participated in the event to help create the train experience.

The All Condition Express is an example that goes beyond a product unveiling to turn the journey itself into media. It is a method of anchoring brand identity in a physical space atop the global viewing event that is the Olympics. In a sense, ACG has used a single train to prove its message that it is returning as an outdoor brand that combines functionality, humor, and attitude.
