This is Balmuda's new 2025 Rain model, the AHM01 series. The Rain has maintained its identity as an evaporative humidifier, featuring a design inspired by jars and vases and a direct top-supply water supply. This new model maintains the original concept while significantly enhancing the overall convenience of display presentation, app integration, and management.
The most noticeable change is the top interface. A high-resolution LCD allows you to check information like indoor temperature, humidity, and water level at a glance. The user experience has been redesigned to support swiping and tapping, allowing intuitive control of most functions from the top.
The emotional expansion of the watering experience is also key to this change. The moment you pour water, symbols like goldfish and autumn leaves appear on the screen, transforming the everyday act of watering into a single scene. This reflects Balmuda's unique approach to transforming the humidifier use process into an experience in itself.
The new model also features Ambient Time Mode, a feature that combines nature-themed sounds, visuals, and soft lighting to help you relax and focus. Three themes are available, including Long Lane, Infinity Boat, and Satoyama.
Integration with the BALMUDA Connect app has also been fully implemented. Power, target humidity, airflow, ambient time, and themes can be remotely controlled via smartphone, and software updates are also supported. This demonstrates the intention to expand the humidifier into a single network device.
The humidification method remains the same as before: evaporation. Rather than directly spraying water, the system evaporates through a filter and transfers the moisture to the air, focusing on reducing the risk of over-humidification and bacterial contamination. A dual filter and silver ion cartridge are designed to maintain the purity of both water and air.
According to the official specifications, the applicable area is approximately 18 trillion won and the water capacity is 4 liters. It measures 341 x 341 x 352 millimeters and weighs approximately 5 kilograms. Power consumption is 5 watts at standby and 6 to 36 watts during operation. The price in Japan is 69,300 yen.
