iPhone pocket, sock-like strap for 300,000 won

Apple has unveiled a new accessory, the iPhone Pocket, in collaboration with Japanese designer Issey Miyake. This product, inspired by the idea of wearing your iPhone like clothing, is a pouch-style accessory crafted with a 3D knit construction. It features a single-piece design that fits any iPhone and emphasizes its ability to carry small items.

The iPhone Pocket is attracting attention with its design reminiscent of iPod socks. The knitted fabric with a ribbed texture reveals a subtle interior when pulled, allowing you to view the screen. It's designed to be used in a variety of ways: held in your hand, tied to a bag, or worn on the body.

Apple and the Issey Miyake team developed this product from the concept of a single piece of fabric. The Miyake Design Studio explained that the goal was not simply to create a pouch, but rather a wearable experience that would extend the relationship between the user and their iPhone. The Apple design team stated that the color combinations would be coordinated with all iPhone models, allowing users to create their own unique combinations.

The product comes with two straps: a short strap and a long strap. The short strap model is available in eight colors: Lemon, Mandarin, Purple, Pink, Peacock, Sapphire, Cinnamon, and Black. The long strap is available in three colors: Sapphire, Cinnamon, and Black. The US price is $149.95 for the short strap and $229.95 for the long strap. The Korean retail price is ₩239,000 and ₩339,000, respectively.

The issue is the price. Criticism of the over 300,000 won price tag is spreading rapidly online. Some have even criticized the excessive premium placed on a sock-like pouch. International users have raised security concerns, joking that it's a desirable item for scooter pickpockets.
