iPhone Air, the thinnest iPhone ever, is unveiled

Apple has unveiled a new iPhone Air, a strategic model that combines ultra-slim design with pro-level performance. At 5.6mm thick, it's the thinnest iPhone ever, and the frame is made from high-strength grade 5 titanium, making it lighter and more durable. The front features a scratch-resistant "Ceramic Shield 2", while the back is finished with the same material for significantly improved breakage resistance.

The screen is a 16.6-centimeter Super Retina XDR display with a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz. The maximum outdoor brightness is 3,000 nits for clear visibility in sunlight. What makes this thin form factor possible is Apple's in-house designed chipset. Three different chips - the A19 Pro, N1, and C1X - are packed into one device to boost power efficiency and performance at the same time.

The iPhone Air starts at 256GB of base storage and comes in four colors: Space Black, Cloud White, Light Gold, and Sky Blue. Pre-orders will begin on Friday, September 12, with a general availability date of September 19th.

Camera performance has also improved significantly. On the back, there's a 48MP Fusion camera that delivers results like four lenses combined. On the front, there's an 18MP camera with Center Stage, which automatically adjusts composition. The camera is the first on the iPhone to freely switch between landscape and portrait modes, and it also supports dual capture, which takes front and back shots simultaneously.

The battery has a redesigned internal structure and iOS 26's "Adaptive Power Mode" feature for reliable all-day use. This feature learns your patterns to adjust performance and conserve battery.

Along with the model, Apple also unveiled a lineup of exclusive accessories, including a thin, 1mm-thick MagSafe case, a lightweight bumper case, a crossbody strap in 10 colors, and a slim MagSafe battery. The battery magnetically attaches to the back of the body and, when used together, provides up to 40 hours of video playback.
