Samsung Electronics announced that it will hold an online livestream event called the Galaxy Event on September 4th, following the Galaxy Unpacked event in July. The event will be held the day before the opening of IFA 2025, Europe's largest consumer electronics show, and will be broadcast live on Samsung's official website and YouTube channel starting at 6:30 PM Korean time.
Samsung announced that it will unveil "a new member of the Galaxy S25 family" and a "premium AI tablet" at this year's Unpacked event. Industry insiders believe this announcement will lead to the unveiling of the Galaxy S25 FE and the Galaxy Tab S11 series, which have been rumored for some time. The Tab S11 lineup is likely to be released in basic and Ultra models.
According to the information known so far, the Galaxy S25 FE will feature a 6.67-inch sAMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and will be equipped with Samsung's Exynos 2400 chipset. The battery will have a capacity of 4,900mAh and support 45W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. The rear camera is said to consist of a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera (3x optical zoom). The front-facing camera is expected to be an improvement over its predecessor, at 12-megapixel.
The Galaxy Tab S11 series, expected to be unveiled alongside the Galaxy Tab S11, will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor, and an Ultra model with up to 16GB of RAM and an 11,600mAh battery will also be released. The base model is also expected to feature an AMOLED display and emphasize AI features.
Meanwhile, Samsung has already announced a more affordable Galaxy Tab S10 Lite. It features the Exynos 1380 chipset, a 10.9-inch 90Hz TFT display, an 8,000mAh battery, and comes with an S Pen. However, it has an IP42 water and dust resistance rating, making it slightly less durable than the higher-end model.
Samsung will also hold a separate press conference at IFA 2025, which will be held in Berlin, Germany, from September 5th, immediately following this event. Some industry insiders predict that the company will discuss future strategic products, such as its "Trifold" smartphone and the Android XR headset "Project Moohan."
Samsung is expected to emphasize the expansion of its ecosystem centered around Galaxy AI technology at this year's Unpacked event. It's likely that a demo will be presented demonstrating how existing AI features introduced in the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and S25 series can seamlessly connect with new devices.
