E-Mart launches ultra-low-price brand 5K Price

To reinforce its ultra-low-price strategy, E-Mart launched its new private label brand, "5K PRICE," on the 14th, featuring all products priced under 5,000 won. This is the first integrated PL launched since the merger of E-Mart and Everyday in July of last year, and will be sold simultaneously at approximately 370 stores nationwide and through SSG.com's express delivery and quick commerce platforms.

"5K PRICE" offers products ranging from 880 won to 4,980 won, offering up to 70% in savings on processed foods and daily necessities. Integrated purchasing and global sourcing ensure cost competitiveness, and we offer small-volume, low-volume products for one- and two-person households.

Representative products include canola oil and sunflower oil for 3,480 won (500ml), grapeseed oil and olive oil for 4,980 won, and "Himalayan Pink Salt Seaweed" for 3,980 won, which is over 70% cheaper than other brands. Snacks are offered at uniform prices of 980 won, 1,980 won, and 2,980 won, and low-sugar, low-calorie, and high-protein product lines are also available.

E-Mart plans to expand its "5K PRICE" product line to 250 items by the second half of this year and simultaneously strengthen its price and quality competitiveness through integrated purchasing through merger synergies and collaborations with overseas manufacturers. Hwang Un-gi, Head of the Product Division, stated, "Even in the ultra-low-price segment, we will lower perceived prices for customers by leveraging E-Mart's unique planning and quality."
