Apple is set to unveil its new products on February 19th. Apple CEO Tim Cook announced the announcement on social media X with the message, “Get ready to meet your new family member. February 19th.”
This announcement is expected to be a single product release rather than a large-scale event. The industry expects this release to be the iPhone SE 4, but some suggest that it may be released under a new name, the 'iPhone 16E'. This analysis is in line with the expression 'new member'.
The iPhone SE 4 is expected to feature a number of performance upgrades. Key specs are expected to include an OLED display, Face ID, the A18 chip, a USB-C port, 8GB of RAM, Apple Intelligence support, a 48-megapixel camera, and Apple’s own 5G modem.
While the announcement is likely to be focused on a single product, there are rumors that other product launches could be in the works. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that the iPhone SE could be announced “by next week,” suggesting that the timing is consistent.
Meanwhile, some are suggesting that other products may be revealed. Candidates include the M4 MacBook Air, M3 iPad Air, and the 11th generation basic iPad. The silver Apple logo that appeared in the released video has led to speculation that it may be related to the MacBook.
There are also some who expect the release of the second generation of AirTags based on the circular design shown in the video. However, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg reported that it is more likely to be the iPhone SE 4 rather than the AirTags. Gurman analyzed that the circular design could hint at the single rear camera of the iPhone SE 4.
The industry is paying attention to what new products Apple will unveil on February 19th.
