Adobe is adding Live Co-Editing to Photoshop. This feature will allow users to edit Photoshop documents simultaneously and will be available on both the desktop and web versions of the app. It is not yet known whether this feature will be available on Photoshop for iPad.
This feature seems to be a great help to designers. Multiple designers can share a single Photoshop document and divide up the work to efficiently proceed with the project. Designers can invite clients to work on the document and collaborate directly or check the edits. Creative teams in large companies can also work on complex projects and receive feedback from stakeholders in real time.
It has great potential for use in educational settings, too. Teachers can invite students to work on documents and learn together, or check students’ work directly and provide feedback.
To test this feature, you must complete the beta program registration process provided by Adobe. There is no set date for the feature to be released to the general public yet.
