Dell is just Dell. At CES 2025, Dell is ditching all of its old XPS, Inspiron, Latitude, and Precision brand names and introducing a simplified naming system. The rebranding is designed to simplify the customer buying experience and more clearly communicate the value of its product lines.
Under the new system, Dell's products Dell, Dell Pro, Dell Pro MaxIt is divided into three main lines, each of which has Base, Plus, PremiumThere are specific steps involved. For example, the Dell Pro replaces the Latitude, the Dell Pro Max replaces the Precision, and the Dell Premium is the successor to the XPS.
The new lineup will be launched in stages from 2025. The first product line will be Dell Pro 13, 14, 16 Premiumclass Dell Plus There are laptops available, featuring the latest Intel Core Ultra series CPUs and up to 4TB of SSD storage. Alienware is the exception to the rebrand, retaining its original brand name.
This decision seems to be a strategy for Dell to increase brand awareness and target the younger generation and new customers. However, there is regret and confusion among existing customers about the discontinuation of the iconic XPS brand. It remains to be seen how Dell's name change will be received in the future PC market.
