Samsung Electronics released One UI 7 beta on December 5. One UI 7 introduced new AI features, call recording, Now Bar, simplified controls, and more.
One UI 7 brings AI agents and multimodal features to all interfaces. Users can summarize texts, check spelling and grammar, and automatically summarize key points without having to switch apps. It provides call recording capabilities that support 20 languages and automatically transcribes them into text, helping you not to miss important information while doing other tasks.
The newly introduced Now Bar is a feature that provides quick access to various notifications and functions on the lock screen. It minimizes unlocking and improves user convenience by highlighting related activities such as translation, music, and recording. Now Bar will be first applied to the upcoming Galaxy S series.
In terms of design, the user experience has been further enhanced through a simple and emotional approach. The simplified home screen, redesigned widgets, and lock screen facilitate user customization. The new camera UX offers intuitive controls, and in Pro mode, the manual settings layout is simplified to help users focus on taking photos and videos.
Samsung plans to launch the official One UI 7 with improved AI features starting in the first quarter of 2025. The update will gradually expand to various Galaxy devices. The One UI 7 beta program is available to Galaxy S24 series users in Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the UK, and the US, and can be participated in through Samsung Members.
