Casio is attracting attention by introducing a new watch that is different from the existing G-SHOCK. The CPP-002 that has been unveiled this time is the first watch designed to be worn in a sauna, and is heat and moisture resistant.
The CPP-002 has several features that make it suitable for use in a sauna environment. It is equipped with a heat-resistant battery, so it can operate stably even in high temperatures. It also has an elastic band that takes into account swollen wrists and a 12-minute timer function. The timer is practical as it helps sauna users manage their time accurately. The 35.4mm resin case is resistant to high temperatures and moisture, and is water-resistant to 50m. It weighs only 24.5 grams, so it is lightweight but still durable, making it suitable for everyday wear.
The CPP-002 is a bold and playful design created in collaboration with Japanese brand Sauna Ikitai. In addition to the basic all-black version, there are also models with vibrant orange and sky blue accents. This unique watch is currently being funded on Japanese crowdfunding platform Makuake for around $53.
