In the iPhone Games category, AFK: New Journey, The WereCleaner, and Zenless Zone Zero were nominated. These games were highly praised for their captivating narratives and unique visuals.
iPad Apps include the children’s game Bluey: Let’s Play Together, the music practice app Moises, and the animation creation tool Procreate Dream. iPad Games include Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Disney Speedstorm, and Squad Busters.
In the Apple Arcade game category, Ballatro+, Outlanders 2, and Sonic Dream Team were nominated. In the Apple Watch app category, English learning app Lookup, sunset information app Lumi, and Watch to 5K, which helps beginner runners, were nominated as finalists.
The new Apple Vision Pro category this year includes ZigSpace, NBA, and What If?: Immersive Stories, apps that use augmented reality and virtual reality to create new experiences.
“This year’s finalists were born with imagination and craftsmanship,” said Carson Oliver, head of Apple’s Worldwide App Store. “They delivered experiences that inspired users.”
Meanwhile, AI apps such as ChatGPT were not selected in the main categories despite their high popularity and functionality. This is analyzed as reflecting Apple's move to reduce the influence of AI technology in the mobile ecosystem.
