An Apple Store opens in Myeong-dong. Last week, we unveiled the outer wall barricade. Myeong-dong was famous as the residence of highly educated scholars during the Joseon Dynasty and was called Myeongryebang (bright village). Apple designed the barricade with the concept of Chaekgado to contain the history of Myeong-dong. The traditional color scheme is saturated to convey fresh colors, and thin lines add a cartoonish feel to the composition so that it doesn't feel heavy. The people who experience the Apple Store and the history metaphor of the space are combined to create a refined sense of antiquity.
