Matcha Cartel, Matcha rendered in dark-toned 3D assets

Matcha Cartel is a concept branding and website project created by Wildy Riftian and Agnes Andreyana. Breaking away from the conventional approach of treating matcha as a calming wellness product, the project positioned it as a high-demand commodity traded within a controlled distribution network.

The design is centered around a dark background, strong contrasts, metallic textures, and bold typography. Rather than emphasizing a nature-friendly image, green was used like a signal color evoking codes, logistics, and surveillance systems. Passcode input screens, city-specific time displays, and warning messages were also used as devices to reinforce this worldview.

According to The One Club records, the website consists of nine sections. Each section covers the cultural history, production, global popularity, and benefits of matcha, utilizing both graphic systems and interactions. The creation of 3D assets using Cinema 4D, Redshift, and Substance texturing was also revealed.
