Apple announced new AirPods at an event on the 9th (local time). They announced the AirPods 4 with active noise cancellation, the AirPods Pro 2 with hearing aid function, and the AirPods Max with USB-C.
AirPods 4 are equipped with the ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) function that was in the Pro model. It can reduce noise or hear the surrounding sounds according to various situations, and when talking to someone, it automatically reduces the sound you are hearing and increases the volume when the conversation is over.
Adaptive EQ automatically adjusts sound quality to the shape of your ears. Dynamic head tracking technology has been added to help you feel the sense of space according to your personal situation. Voice separation function clearly emphasizes human voice and minimizes ambient noise.
You can also control Siri without speaking. If you are unable to use your hands or find it difficult to speak, you can answer Siri's questions by nodding or shaking your head.
Up to 5 hours of listening on a single charge, or up to 30 hours with the charging case. The ANC model offers up to 4 hours of listening, or up to 20 hours with the charging case. The charging case of the ANC model also features a speaker for 'Find My'.
AirPods Pro 2 adds several features to protect your hearing health. You can use hearing tests, hearing aid functions, and active hearing protection. You can test your hearing in a quiet place using AirPods settings or the Health app. After the test, you can control the sound with a personalized profile. If you have hearing loss, you will be prompted to set up hearing aid settings. Scheduled for release in the fall.
AirPods Max have a USB-C charging port. They come in blue, purple, midnight, starlight, and orange.
The regular AirPod 4 model costs 199,000 won, the active noise canceling model costs 269,000 won, the AirPod Pro 2 costs 349,000 won, and the AirPod Max costs 768,000 won. It is scheduled to be officially released on September 20. Pre-orders are currently being accepted on the official website.
