The LEGO Group has announced its first official LEGO Pokémon line, featuring the Pokémon IP. The release date is set for February 27, 2026, coinciding with Pokémon Day and the franchise's 30th anniversary. The first lineup consists of three 18+ sets, all focused on display, and pre-orders open on January 12, 2026.
The most accessible product is the Eevee set. It consists of 587 pieces and is priced at $59.99 in the US. Its finished height is described as approximately 19 centimeters, and its articulated head, ears, arms, legs, and tail allow for a variety of poses.
The Pikachu and Poké Ball set, at 2,050 pieces and $199.99, occupies the mid-range of the lineup. The display model recreates Pikachu's moment as he leaps from his Poké Ball, and features posable ears and limbs for posable poses. The official LEGO product page lists a February 27, 2026, shipping date and a limited quantity.
The top-of-the-line product is the Bulbasaur Charizard Turtle King Diorama Set. Priced at $649.99 for 6,838 pieces, it showcases the final evolutions of three Kanto region starter characters in one set. Each individual is presented with posable features like vine wings and water cannons, and the jungle volcano water texture is combined on a single base to emphasize elemental contrast.
The combination of LEGO and Pokémon aligns with LEGO's strategy of expanding from a play-focused approach to a more exhibition-focused approach targeting adults. Some say that the 30th anniversary of Pokémon marks a significant shift in the company's efforts to transform iconic characters into building and collecting experiences.
