French pet specialty company La Compagnie des Animaux has unveiled a new visual identity. It is considered a visual fulfillment of its founding mission of making veterinary knowledge accessible to everyone. Branding studio Graphene was in charge of this project. Graphene focused on adding a contemporary sensibility to the brand, which had remained largely unchanged since its original logo was first introduced 15 years ago.

La Compagnie des Animaux is a B2C company that supports the health and well-being of various animals, focusing on dogs and cats. Providing users with clear veterinary advice has always been a core value, and building a brand experience that conveys both expertise and trust has been a key challenge. The newly developed identity focuses on intuitively demonstrating this direction.

Graphene designed a multifaceted image structure symbolizing a wide range of animals and services. A modular design with varying shapes was adopted to seamlessly expand the product line and service content. Visual elements were designed to convey information rather than simply serve as decoration, creating a brand language that is easily understood by everyone.

The new identity strikes a balance between maintaining a friendly tone and maintaining the authority of a veterinary institution. The abstract illustrations depicting each animal's characteristics are designed to seamlessly integrate into educational content and customer communications. The design, which allows for a variety of color variations and shape combinations, is considered a usability-focused design that allows the entire brand to function as a single ecosystem.

The La Compagnie des Animaux communications team expects this rebranding to provide a clearer information experience for pet owners. The company's direction of sharing expert advice with a wider audience has been consistently expressed through visual language and structural consistency, leading to a high level of completion. Graphene added that the brand has laid the foundation for future growth based on a design philosophy that increases the accessibility of expert knowledge.
