Roborock has unveiled a new robot vacuum, the Saros Z70, at CES 2025. The product is characterized by a robot arm mounted on the robot vacuum cleaner. The Saros Z70 was developed to present a new level of automation technology beyond the functions of existing robot vacuum cleaners.
The Saros Z70's robotic arm is mounted on the top of the vacuum cleaner and can move in various directions using five axes. The robotic arm can remove obstacles or pick up laundry weighing up to 300g. The vacuum cleaner is designed to perform general floor cleaning first, and then use the robotic arm to handle objects when necessary. The robotic arm is equipped with built-in cameras and sensors to recognize the surroundings and perform tasks.
The OmniGrip, a robotic arm function, is shipped disabled by default and can be activated by the user via the Roborock application. The application allows you to specify the OmniGrip's motion settings and the objects it can interact with. For safety, it also includes a child-proof lock function and a safety stop button to immediately stop operation.
Roborock plans to use this technology to expand the range of robot vacuums and provide a better user experience. The Saros Z70 will be available starting February 10th and is priced at $1,600. This is not a mass-market price, but it is attracting attention for its new approach based on cutting-edge technology.
