Tinder has launched 'The Game Game', a game where you learn to flirt while dating an AI. It is powered by OpenAI technology and is available exclusively to users in the United States using iOS devices.
The game is launched by tapping the logo in the upper left corner of the Tinder app, and provides users with a deck of cards containing various AI characters and situations. Users respond with their voices through the microphone, flirting with the AI characters, and competing for success in dating. At the end of the conversation, the AI scores them with three levels of fire emojis and provides real-time feedback to suggest problems in the conversation and ways to improve. In the event of rude behavior, the AI also provides guidance on corrective measures.
Tinder has stated that this feature is intended to provide a light and fun experience rather than a serious purpose. However, as flirting with AI chatbots is actually gaining popularity, it is analyzed that Tinder is actively utilizing AI technology to increase users and expand its service. Last year, Tinder introduced a photo selection feature where AI selects the best photos, and it plans to apply AI technology to search and matching functions in the future.
