Tesla has officially unveiled the 'Juniper' refreshed model of the Model Y. It has most of the improvements applied to the new Model 3, such as a quieter interior, improved efficiency, improved performance, ambient lighting, and rear screens. The long-range AWD model has a driving range of 719 km (446 miles) according to the CLTC standard, and the 0-100 km / h acceleration has been shortened to 4.3 seconds. The exterior adopts a light bar similar to the Cybertruck and a new camera has been added to the front bumper. The price in the Chinese market starts at 263,500 yuan (about 46.3 million won), and the first deliveries will begin in March.
The new Model Y has changed the design of the front and rear. The front has a single-line daytime running light (DRL) and a newly arranged split headlamp. The rear emphasizes efficiency with taillights connecting both bumpers. The exterior color is available in three colors: Glacier Blue, Ultra Red, and Quicksilver, and the interior can be selected from all black or black and white.
Inside, it is equipped with a 15.4-inch center fascia display, and the column-type gear has disappeared and the gear can be changed by touching the screen. The second-row seats have a power reclining function and when completely folded, 2,130 liters of cargo space are secured. Enhanced Autopilot and fully autonomous driving functions can be added as options. The new Model Y will be imported from the Shanghai Gigafactory in China, and the domestic delivery date has not been disclosed yet.
