Handmade espresso machine manufacturer La Marzocco and luxury luggage brand Rimowa have collaborated to launch a limited edition Linea Mini Edition. It was first unveiled at the La Marzocco pop-up store and Cafe Rimowa during Milan Design Week.
Linea Mini is a machine suitable for homes or small cafes, inspired by the Linea Classic. The sharp silver surface is accented with red needles and wordmarks, sophisticatedly expressing the feeling of raw machinery. This limited edition excludes all colors and emphasizes Rimowa's unique surface pattern and fastening method. Rimowa's round design harmonizes well with La Marzocco's design, which has a sharp silver surface and a strong linear appeal, to create a more sophisticated impression.
Made with Rimowa's signature curved aluminum details and bespoke parts in keeping with La Marzocco's craft philosophy, Officine Fratelli Bambi. The iconic panels were created at the Rimowa factory in Cologne, and each espresso machine was assembled by hand in Florence, taking over 40 hours of painstaking work.
La Marzocco CEO Guido Bernardinelli said, “Two brands with a constant pioneering spirit of innovation and excellence have realized the culmination of the best design and technology combined,” and Rimowa CEO Hugues Bonnet-Mazenberg said. (Hugues Bonnet-Masimbert) said, “It is the result of the synergy of two brands with common passion and purpose. “I am happy to have been able to prepare with La Marzocco and create a result that combines the artistry of coffee making with German technology and design,” he said.
