Razer has officially launched its next-generation wireless charging system, the HyperFlux V2. This product is designed as a solution for users who want to wirelessly connect their mouse and keyboard while continuously supplying power, allowing them to enjoy gaming without having to worry about charging interruptions. It is a similar concept to Logitech’s Powerplay from over a decade ago, but it has re-challenged itself with faster charging speeds and wider compatibility.
HyperFlux V2 offers faster charging speeds than its predecessor, Firefly, and adopts a USB Type-C interface to supply more stable current. This charging system uses the mouse pad itself as a charging platform, providing power without the need for a separate dock or cable connection as before.
Users can choose between a hard surface (for quick movements) and a cloth surface (for precise aiming), and both versions feature a non-slip rubber base for stable use even during intense gameplay. The size is similar to the original Firefly V2 Pro.
This product overcomes the limitation of the previous generation being compatible only with certain mice, and natively supports a total of four mice: Basilisk V3 Pro 35K, Basilisk V3 Pro, Cobra Pro, and Naga V2 Pro. The mouse is automatically paired via a dedicated wireless charging ‘Puck’ mounted on the bottom, and can also be connected to the Razer BlackWidow and Deathstalker series keyboards without a separate USB dongle. However, the keyboard cannot be charged, only connectivity is supported.
The Hyperflux V2 is currently available in both hard and cloth versions for $119.99.
