Apple Pencil new product launch: entry-level version that charges via USB-C

Apple unveiled the new Apple Pencil. It has been five years since the release of the 2nd generation Apple Pencil in October 2018. The price is $79 (119,000 won), which is cheaper than the previous model. The 1st generation Apple Pencil was sold for $99, and the 2nd generation Apple Pencil was sold for $129.

You can charge the Apple Pencil using USB-C by opening the lid at the end. It can be attached to an iPad with a magnet, but wireless charging is not possible. There is no pen pressure function or the ability to switch functions by holding the pencil and touching your finger twice.

While the existing Apple Pencil was intended for professionals who draw, this entry-level version seems to be aimed at the general public. When drawing, you often use pen pressure and double tap to switch modes for various expressions. The fact that it was released without these features seems to be a strategy that hoped that more people would use the Apple Pencil to take notes and records in their daily lives.

However, it is unfortunate that wireless charging is not available regardless of expertise. It's hard to think about charging this type of accessory on a daily basis. Previously, I didn't have to think about 'charging' at all, but now I have one more product to manage, which is unfortunate.
