<\/figure>\n\n\n\nIn celebration of Hangeul Day, 29CM has unveiled its first brand typeface, '29CM Editorial.' The typeface was introduced alongside the new brand message, 'By Every Taste.' It was developed to connect the expanded categories\u2014ranging from fashion to home & lifestyle, kids, and food\u2014with a single visual language. The focus was on capturing the atmosphere of diverse products and content while maintaining the distinctive impression of 29CM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A key feature of this typeface is that the shape of the characters changes along with the weight. Weights range from 300 to 800. The lightest weight, 300, features a sans-serif form without stroke tips. As the weight increases, stroke tips are added, and the thickest weight, 800, becomes a serif. Rather than separating the two styles, they are connected through a continuous variation, allowing users to select the character expression best suited to their content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This change has also been reflected in the detailed shapes. Diagonal lines have been added to the ends of the serif strokes to create a smoother flow leading into the sans-serif. The English letters and numbers retain the rounded shape of the 29CM logo. The design ensures that the brand's distinctive visual characteristics are maintained even when Korean, English, and numbers are used together. 29CM announced that it will enhance the visibility of its existing logo along with the font and apply the same brand system to major categories such as Home and Kids.
