It is a retail typeface released by the Berlin-based type foundry Studio Ren\u00e9 Bieder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Neurath X is a proportional width sans-serif font. It forms a single collection with the Neurath X Mono, which was released alongside it. Both products consist of 18 styles each. There are 9 weights ranging from Thin to Black, and a total of 36 styles including italics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The starting point of the typeface is the reduction of geometric letters. Studio Ren\u00e9 Bieder explains that they referenced early modernist experiments such as Paul Renner&#039;s Futura, Herbert Bayer&#039;s Universal Alphabet, and Herb Lubalin&#039;s ITC Ronda. Based on circles, straight lines, and simple structures, the letters were reduced, but the spacing and curved connections were adjusted for practical usability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The creative aspect lies in designing sans-serif and monospace as a system based on the same formative principles, rather than as separate products. Neurath X can be used for branding, editorial work, packaging, and interfaces, while Neurath X Mono supports environments requiring a fixed width, such as code, tables, and data screens.
