Nothing Personal is a global technology and culture magazine that launched in October 2025. It covers privacy, AI, platform power, and internet culture. The editorial board is led by journalist Bourrée Lam, formerly of The Atlantic, The Wall Street Journal, and Freakonomics.

The brand identity was designed by Natasha Jen and her team at Pentagram as part of the Mozilla Foundation's rebranding. The core of the strategy is 'belong and rebel.' It aimed to be an independent medium that does not look like an institution, while inheriting Mozilla's credibility and visual assets. The name 'Nothing Personal' incorporates a familiar idiom to convey the message that "here, your data is not a product.".

At the center of the visual system is a bold 'NP.' wordmark and a rectangular frame. This frame changes its role depending on the situation, acting like a browser tab, a pop-up window, a censorship bar, a patch, or a protest sign. It also utilizes the graphic language of the early web, such as browser UIs, chat windows, file menus, scrollbars, and system fonts. Over an unedited portrait, the NP. frame crosses the face, questioning who is exposed on the internet and in what way.

More and Sources

https://www.pentagram.com/work/nothing-personal

Mozilla Foundation의 편집 플랫폼 Nothing Personal이 새로운 브랜드 아이덴티티를 공개했습니다.
