We have strengthened the connection between Figma Weave and Figma Design. Weave is an AI authoring tool that creates node-based workflows for images, videos, audio, and 3D work. With this update, Weave's AI authoring flow is now closer to Figma Canvas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The biggest change is the Weave tools. Over 20 AI image tasks are available right from the left panel of Figma Design. Features include style switching, product image generation, material extraction, and art direction. Users can execute pre-configured Weave workflows without having to type long prompts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weave tools are suitable for repetitive tasks. For example, you can change image aspect ratios, create e-commerce product cuts, or transform photos into specific visual styles. Because the same workflow can be repeated, it is easy to utilize for creating campaign images, brand mockups, and social content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weave workflows are also shared with the Figma Community. Users can share their node-based creation processes as templates. This method shares not just the end result, but the process of creating images and graphics itself. Workflows such as automated ad creation, multi-angle product renders, fashion visualizers, and character design sheets become reusable resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Figma has also announced a feature to import Figma frames as nodes within Weave. If you paste a frame created in Figma onto the Weave canvas, that frame becomes an input for the AI creation workflow. Any modifications to the original design in Figma are reflected in the Weave workflow in real time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This feature is particularly useful for localization and mass production. For example, by fixing the brand layout and typography in Figma and linking them with CSV translations in Weave, you can create campaign images for multiple regions at once. The structure is such that Figma maintains the design standards, while Weave handles variations and generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For users, the change in workflow is significant. Designers can experiment with brand images, product mockups, and campaign visuals more quickly within Figma. Teams can share a single workflow to produce deliverables according to the same standards. Figma is extending design files beyond being mere final outputs, integrating them into the AI production pipeline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weave tools are available in open beta and are free during the beta period. After the official launch, Figma AI credits will be used. The Figma Community sharing feature for Weave workflows is currently available. The ability to use Figma frames as nodes within Weave is scheduled for release this summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
