Users can select a short uploaded by someone else and transform it into a new video by adding prompts or images. YouTube announced that it will roll out this feature for free to the YouTube Shorts Remix and YouTube Create apps in stages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new feature is a way to change scenes while maintaining the context of the existing shorts. For example, you can change the video to a 90s vibe or place it next to a creator you like. The Verge explained that users can tap the remix icon and change the style to pixel art, animation, or horror movie styles using the &#039;reimagine&#039; option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Control mechanisms for the original creator are also included. This applies only to remixable shorts. Creators can turn off the remixing of their videos. AI-generated remix videos are affixed with a digital watermark and a link to the original video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The barrier to entry for users to create shorts is lowered. Previously, filming, editing, and applying effects were required. Now, users can create different versions of already trending shorts by entering prompts. This allows you to directly influence how memes, challenges, and reaction videos are produced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For creators, this presents both advantages and burdens. Their videos may be recycled and gain more exposure. Conversely, they may not want their faces, family, children, or private scenes used in AI remixes.
