Ferrari's first all-electric car Luce<\/strong>It has been unveiled. Luce means light in Italian. It is Ferrari's first electric vehicle and its first five-seater model. LoveFrom, led by Jony Ive and Marc Newson, participated in the body and interior design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luce uses four electric motors. The output is over 1,000 horsepower. The top speed is over 310 km\/h. The driving range is reported to be over 500 km. The price is 550,000 euros in Italy. Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in late 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A significant change in the design is the way the electric vehicle is handled. Ferrari did not opt for a large-screen-centric EV experience. The interior combines leather, anodized aluminum, and physical controls. To complement the inherent quietness of electric vehicles, a system was also implemented that amplifies vibrations from the rear motor to convey the driving sensation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LoveFrom participated in both the exterior and interior design. Jony Ive and Marc Newson were involved in setting the direction from the early stages of the project. Ferrari has long considered the sound and feel of internal combustion engine sports cars to be the core of its brand. Luce is an attempt to redefine that sensation within an electric vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For customers, this represents a change that expands Ferrari's options. It is a model closer to family use and long-distance travel than a traditional two-seater sports car. From the brand's perspective, it is a product targeting young, high-income earners, EV owners, and EV-friendly markets such as China. However, Ferrari has lowered its 2030 EV share target to 20%. This approach is closer to experimenting with luxury electric vehicles on a limited basis rather than expanding the transition to EVs across the board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
