The connection is established through Plaid, a financial data integration platform. OpenAI explained that it supports over 12,000 financial institutions. This feature provides personalized responses based on actual spending history and asset flows. For example, you can ask about recent spending changes, unused subscription services, upcoming payments, savings goals, and the status of investment accounts. The difference is that it can provide answers based on the user's actual data, unlike conventional financial advice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OpenAI stated that ChatGPT can view account balances, transaction history, investments, and debt information, but cannot view full account numbers or change accounts. Users can disconnect accounts at any time and view and delete financial memories such as financial goals or debts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
