The structure of industries remained relatively stable, and the career ladder within them did not waver significantly. The competencies required for each job were also somewhat fixed. Therefore, people learned necessary knowledge by grouping it in the most appropriate order. This is why methods such as schools, private academies, mentorship, and apprenticeship held sway. Much knowledge could be used for years, or even decades, once learned in depth. It was a structure where expertise accumulated as time passed and experience grew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The situation is different now. The market is changing rapidly, and the results needed today differ from those needed tomorrow. The skills required to solve problems are also constantly evolving. Therefore, learning methods have shifted from following a fixed curriculum to gathering what is needed as needed to solve immediate problems. If that were the case, expertise would completely disappear. However, not everyone is yet capable of creating designs that yield identical results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The replication of existing designs has become common. However, this cannot produce better results than before. Design is about solving problems better than others and delivering messages better than others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ability to produce quickly is already being significantly accelerated by AI. However, what actually works in the market and which designs effectively deliver value to customers remain separate issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AI absorbs information from the digital environment. It takes time for events in the real world to accumulate as meaningful information on the web. However, it also takes a significant amount of time for a design to spread to the market and generate a response. There is still room for human intervention in this time gap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Expertise will not disappear. The ability to effectively solve problems and convey messages through what you implement will continue to be necessary.
