This change aligns with Thread&#039;s move to establish itself as an independent conversation platform, moving away from being an extension of Instagram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The biggest changes in the new logo are its slant and thickness. While the previous logo emphasized thin, hand-drawn lines and loop shapes, the new logo features a thicker form that slopes forward. Christopher Clare, Thread Design Lead, explained that this slanted shape expresses the forward-moving energy of the conversations taking place within Thread. The thickened strokes were chosen to establish a presence as an independent app icon distinct from Instagram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Connor Hayes, Head of Thread, stated that the brand needs to feel like a product. He explained that it needs to feel like it is built for conversation and is constantly moving. This is an attempt to translate into visual language the idea that Thread is not a static bulletin board, but a space for fast-paced, continuous dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure
