Fursys, a leading office furniture brand and the flagship subsidiary of the Fursys Group, has embarked on a rebranding effort. According to industry sources, Fursys has recently initiated internal procedures and plans to overhaul its CI system for the first time in 11 years, following the revamp in 2015. Fursys stated that it aims to launch the rebranding campaign in the second quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This move is being assessed as being closer to a realignment aligned with the brand's mid-to-long-term vision and changes in the business environment, rather than a one-off message targeting a specific generation. It is reported that Fursys has been continuously reviewing its brand direction to flexibly respond to changing customer bases and market conditions. This is interpreted as a move to re-establish the brand framework from a perspective that encompasses products and services as a whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clues regarding the new CI draft were first spotted in the trademark application. According to the article, Fursys filed for a new CI draft in late 2025, and a key feature of the symbol and logo currently under internal review is that they are all composed of black. While the existing CI consisted of a combination of a red square symbol and a gray logo, the interpretation is that the new drafts aim to reduce the impression defined by color and expand the scope of application through a unified achromatic aesthetic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fursys has refined its corporate image through rebranding in the past. Since its founding in 1983, the company introduced a CI in 1995 combining a red square and a black logo, aiming to strengthen its image as a specialist in office furniture and become a global brand. In 2015, a rebranding was conducted based on an internal assessment that the message was rigid and cold. While maintaining the red color and the shape of the symbol, the company emphasized a people-centered impression by changing the logo color from black to gray and rotating the symbol to form a heart shape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rebranding is also aligned with plans for a performance rebound. Fursys' cumulative consolidated revenue for the third quarter of 2025 was 266.1 billion won, a decrease of 6.91 TP3T compared to the same period last year. Operating profit for the same period plummeted by 85.21 TP3T to 3.3 billion won. Analysts suggest that profitability deteriorated due to a combination of factors, including rising selling, general, and administrative expenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fursys plans to strengthen its integrated Total Office Solution as part of its mid-to-long-term strategy. The company envisions expanding its service scope beyond furniture sales by encompassing the entire process, from office space design to furniture delivery, relocation, installation, and maintenance. The change in CI is also interpreted as a signal to consistently communicate this transition to a service-oriented business model to the outside world. Attention is focused on how the actual scope of application and communication methods will change in the campaign scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
