London-based creative agency Together has integrated the JavaScript toolchain of open-source company VoidZero into a single brand system. Although VoidZero has operated widely used tools such as Vite, user perception had been fragmented due to differing logos and visual languages for each product. Developers trusted and used the tools, but it was difficult for them to feel the connection that they originated from the same source. As VoidZero prepared for the launch of commercial products, this gap acted as a burden on building brand awareness and transitioning to paid services in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together chose a direction that makes the ecosystem appear as one family while preserving the individuality and history of each product. The structure was designed to ensure that tools like Rolldown and Oxc fit into the same worldview without undermining Vite's existing brand recognition. The result was an approach that imposed order through rules rather than uniformity. Void Zero redefined the role of the brand to become a gateway where developers discover, trust, and adopt tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visual concept originated from the gateway. The name Void Zero and the zero inside the parentheses in the existing logo reinforced the image of a portal and access. While inspired by Stargate, Together emphasized a modern moment of activation infused with a retro sensibility rather than a direct homage. The final form is structured to view the zero as a portal and the parentheses as a trigger. The solid zero is advantageous for rotational animation and was expanded into a motion language symbolizing speed and flow. This motion was utilized not only in the logo but also as a connection device throughout the entire system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The logo system was introduced as following a branded house strategy. Together presented a rule of 80% consistency and 20% differentiation. The Void Zero wordmark was created by customizing Rooftop Wide Extrabold and framed using bracket devices. All product logos share the same lock-up logic to form a family look. At the same time, each tool was assigned a unique icon and color pairing to distinguish Vite, Vite Plus, Rolldown, and Oxc from one another. The wide and confident letter proportions were explained as intended to convey an attitude closer to streetwear than a typical developer brand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The typography is divided based on role. APK Protocol handles headlines, conveying the precision of the tool through angular forms and sharp details. KH Teka manages the body text, supporting long technical readings in documentation, marketing, and UI environments. KH Teka Mono is placed in code and label areas to visually separate descriptive content from functional information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The color strategy adds expression on a neutral base. Deep black, charcoal, and soft off-white provide a sense of stability to the documentation and product interfaces. Accent colors and gradients are added to create energy for transitions and movement. Color is primarily displayed through crops of portal graphics rather than flat fills, so it is controlled to avoid overstimulating the UI. It also includes variable rules that heighten expression in marketing and lower it in documentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
