This is the brand design for Fairpoint, a joint platform between Vodafone and Sumitomo targeting the Economy of Things. The starting point for this initiative is to unify the technology and business previously associated with digital asset brokerage under a single brand. Vodafone will unveil the brand name for this joint venture as Fairpoint in 2023, presenting the Economy of Things as the next level of connectivity, enabling secure interaction and exchange between devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fairpoint's technology is a combination of SIM and blockchain. Vodafone explains that it utilizes SIM security and blockchain to enable devices to securely transact with other devices, utilizing wallet and payment capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In its 2023 investment announcement, Sumitomo stated that its digital asset broker platform will make IoT device connectivity more efficient and promote a new economic environment created by autonomous communication between connected devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The brand design was done in collaboration with Studio Koto. The intent was to make complex technology easily understandable. The branding project's introduction material stated that the name Fairpoint was intended to lower the barrier to adoption by descriptively communicating complex technologies in their early stages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inspired by the dandelion's ability to spread and establish itself, we designed a flexible visual system that visually embodies Fairpoint's promise of infinite connectivity. At its core, a dynamic symbol reflects the way technology works, symbolizing the act of spreading, connecting, and creating new possibilities. Radial patterns, fluid shapes, and vibrant color transitions express the concepts of constant movement, growth, and connection, imbuing the identity with energy and adaptability at every touchpoint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fairpoint's identity was designed with the future in mind. It was built with flexibility to expand into a variety of areas, from digital platforms and data visualization to outdoor environments. It can create a powerful presence when visibility is crucial, while remaining understated and functional when clarity is paramount. It's a system that grows with Fairpoint as it grows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
