On the 16th, Kakao unveiled a new update to its AI app service, Canana, highlighting expanded personalized experiences and enhanced community usability as key priorities. Canana is a service that allows users to experience AI in a familiar way in their daily lives through conversations with group AI mate Cana and personal AI mate Nana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflecting user feedback, Kakao revamped its app structure last October and introduced specialized AI mates for each topic. Since then, it has been sequentially adding multimodal AI and voice chat features to enhance usability. This update continues this trend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A key feature of this update is the interest registration feature. When users set keywords of interest within the app, AI Mate remembers them, optimizes responses, and suggests personalized content throughout the app, including on the home screen. For example, users interested in health will automatically receive relevant information recommendations and can ask questions with a single click.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new AI Studio feature has also been added. This group photo creation feature supports up to six people and supports nine concepts, including romance, fantasy, youth narrative, kid model, Y2K style, and Christmas. Users can create four images per day for free, providing a content experience they can enjoy with friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, a web search mode has been introduced within chat rooms. By pressing the plus button at the bottom of a conversation, you can receive answers based on web search results, enhancing the accuracy and reliability of your information. A feature to share AI Mate's answers as a web link has also been added, enhancing communication convenience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kakao plans to continue incorporating various AI technologies into Canana to provide practical value to users' daily lives. Kim Jong-han, Kakao Canana's performance leader, stated that the company will continue its efforts to expand personalized user experiences while evolving into an AI that everyone can enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
