German camera brand Leica has officially unveiled the Leica M EV1, the first model in the M System to feature an integrated electronic viewfinder (EVF). This new product is attracting attention as a new form of the M Series that combines digital technology with traditional rangefinder technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Leica M EV1 features a 60.3-megapixel full-frame BSI CMOS sensor and the Maestro III image processor. Users can choose between 60-megapixel, 36-megapixel, or 18-megapixel resolutions. The EVF offers 5.76-megapixel resolution and features focus peaking and magnification for enhanced accuracy during manual focusing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shutter speed supports mechanical 1\/4,000 sec and electronic 1\/16,000 sec, and the continuous shooting speed is 4.5 frames per second. The internal memory is 64 GB and provides one UHS-II SD card slot. The battery performance is enough for approximately 237 shots. It connects to the 'Leica FOTOS' app via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB-C, and also supports the 'Content Credentials' function to verify the authenticity of captured images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The design retains the classic form of the existing M series, complete with a diamond pattern on the front and a minimalist structure. Handcrafted in a German factory, it features a brass top plate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Leica M EV1 features an electronic viewfinder for precise framing when using ultra-wide-angle and telephoto lenses, and is compatible with existing M System manual lenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The domestic launch price is 14.3 million won, and sales began on October 24, 2025. Leica stated, \u201cThe M EV1 marks the beginning of a new era that combines classic sensibility and digital shooting technology.\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
