British luxury car brand Bentley has unveiled a new emblem. This redesign is considered the most bold and modern version, with only five changes in the 106 years since the brand was founded in 1919.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Known as the 'Winged B', the emblem is based on the initials B of the brand's founder Walter Owen Bentley, with wings spread on either side. The circular logo was first designed by illustrator F. Gordon Crosby and has been revised slightly in 1931, the 1990s and 2002.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The redesign was carried out directly by the in-house design team led by Bentley Design Director Robin Page, and was completed based on the concept of interior designer Young Nam. The new emblem maintains the existing core elements, but the inside of the wings has been reinterpreted as a diamond pattern, and the feather decoration under the central B has been completely removed for the first time, giving a more simple and sophisticated impression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new logo features a sharp form inspired by the slanted wings of a falcon, while the central B has a chamfered metal border and bevelled glass details, designed to be used as a standalone graphic element. Bentley describes the design as \u201ca response to the complexity of the digital age with refined design language.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bentley will officially unveil this emblem at the opening ceremony of its design studio in Crewe, England, on July 7, and will also unveil a concept car featuring the logo on July 8. Although this vehicle will not be a production model, it is expected to become a symbol hinting at the brand\u2019s future design direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bentley is set to launch its first electric car next year, and this emblem marks the starting point of a new brand identity that prepares for the era of electrification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
