British tech brand Nothing has officially announced its first true flagship smartphone, the Nothing Phone 3. Boasting vastly improved hardware and software specs compared to the existing A series and its predecessor, the Phone 2, this is the first product to be officially released in the US market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The base model has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage and costs $799. The higher-end model has 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage and costs $899. It comes in white and black, and pre-orders begin on July 4, with general availability beginning July 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key specs include Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 4500 nits, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 5150mAh silicon-carbon battery with 65W wired fast charging, 15W wireless charging, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The camera performance is also noteworthy. The rear is equipped with a main, ultra-wide, and periscope zoom lens, each of which consists of 50 million pixels, and supports up to 60x digital zoom. The front camera is also composed of 50 million pixels and is capable of shooting 4K 60 frames of video and slow motion shooting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of software, it is equipped with Nothing OS 3.5 based on Android 15, and an update to Android 16 is also expected in the future. Nothing has promised five years of operating system updates and seven years of security patches. The new feature, Essential Space, is an AI-based function that analyzes captured screenshots to organize schedules or travel information, and can be quickly accessed via the Essential Key, which is a side button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The glyph interface, which was the symbol of the existing Nothing series, has evolved into the new glyph matrix. This is a dot-shaped mini display consisting of 489 LEDs, which displays notification icons, a clock, battery level, recording indicator, and can also run simple games. This function can be switched with the glyph button, and a development kit that will be released to external developers in the future is also being prepared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This product has a big design change compared to its predecessors. The camera array has been rearranged asymmetrically, and durability has been enhanced with Gorilla Glass 7i on the front and Gorilla Glass Victus on the back. It weighs 218g and has dimensions of 160.6 x 75.59 x 8.99mm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this Phone 3, Nothing has shown its intention to compete in the mainstream flagship market with the iPhone 16, Galaxy S25, and Pixel 9. \u201cWe are now ready to enter the US market with a premium product,\u201d said Nothing CEO Carl Fei. The US will be the first country to launch, and the product will be available for purchase on Nothing\u2019s official store and Amazon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
