On April 28, 2025, Nothing's sub-brand CMF announced its second modular smartphone, the CMF Phone 2 Pro, along with three wireless earphones in the Buds 2 series, combining modular expandability, reasonable price, and AI-based features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CMF Phone 2 Pro starts at \u20ac249 (128GB), despite featuring a 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED display and the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset. It features a triple camera setup with a 50MP main camera, along with a modular design that allows for fisheye and macro lenses to be swapped out. The back cover has been redesigned to a screw-in style, and supports a variety of usage scenarios when attached with the kickstand wallet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The AI-based \u2018Essential Space\u2019 automatically organizes voice memos, photos, screenshots, etc., and you can instantly access them with a dedicated button. It is equipped with Android 15 and Nothing OS 3.2, and guarantees 3 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches. It has all the functions necessary for daily use, such as IP54 waterproofing, 5000mAh battery, and 33W fast charging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CMF Buds 2 series that was launched together consists of the high-end Buds 2 Plus (approximately 65 euros), the basic Buds 2 (approximately 50 euros), and the entry-level Buds 2a (approximately 39 euros), all of which are equipped with **active noise cancellation (ANC)** as standard. The Buds 2 Plus support the LDAC high-quality codec and custom EQ, while the Buds 2 offer spatial audio functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All three models feature 11mm drivers, up to 55 hours of battery life, IP55 water resistance, and enhanced call quality based on six HD microphones. The charging case features Nothing\u2019s signature transparent design and a rotary dial, but no actual operating functions. The ChatGPT voice assistant function is also provided via app integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This lineup is significant in that it brings performance and design elements previously only found in high-priced flagships to a more affordable price range. Nothing seeks to strike a balance between experimental modular technology and practical functionality, and is embodying this possibility through CMF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
