Fujifilm has unveiled a new compact camera, the GFX100RF, featuring a 102-megapixel medium format sensor. The high-resolution model for street photography features a fixed 35mm F4 lens (equivalent to 28mm in 35mm format) and offers a variety of shooting functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GFX100RF uses the same 102-megapixel CMOS II HS medium format sensor as the Fujifilm GFX100 II mirrorless camera, capable of shooting photos with a resolution of 11648 \u00d7 8736. It has a similar design to the X100 series, with added new features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The dial on the back allows you to select from nine different aspect ratios. It supports various ratios such as 7:6, 1:1, 3:4, 16:9, 17:6, and 65:24, allowing users to quickly set the desired composition. In addition, the teleconverter selector on the front allows digital zoom from 35mm to 45mm, 63mm, and 80mm (equivalent to 50mm, 65mm, and 80mm in 35mm format).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lens consists of 8 elements in 10 groups, with 2 aspherical lenses and a nano GI coating to effectively suppress spherical aberration and internal reflection. The minimum focus distance is 20 cm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shutter adopts a leaf shutter, and for the first time in the GFX series, it has a built-in 4-stop ND filter, allowing for appropriate shutter speed and depth of field adjustment even in bright environments. It is capable of continuous shooting at 6 frames per second based on the mechanical shutter, and supports advanced autofocus functions including face and eye detection AF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The electronic viewfinder (EVF) features a 0.5-inch, 5.76 million-dot OLED display and offers a 0.84x magnification. On the back is a 3.1-inch, tilting, 2.1 million-dot LCD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also supports video recording capabilities, and can record 4K 30fps 10bit 4:2:2 footage. It offers over 13 stops of dynamic range when shooting F-Log2. It also has an SDXC UHS-II card slot, SSD recording, microphone and headphone jacks, and a micro HDMI port.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GFX100RF will be available in two colors, black and silver, and will be priced at approximately $4,900. It is scheduled to be released in late April 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
