It is not a complete logo change, but rather a change of profile pictures on social media. The Democratic Party has used a symbol of a 'D' in a thick circle from 2010 to 2025. The new profile pictures on social media are of a donkey, the animal that symbolizes the Democratic Party. The background color is blue, which symbolizes the Democratic Party, and the donkey's tail and face are expressed simply.

As soon as the new logo was uploaded to social media X, the reaction was heated. At the time, Jackson's opponents sarcastically called him a "jackass," which was another way of saying donkey. However, Jackson used this ridicule to his advantage by putting a donkey on his campaign posters, and eventually won the election. Later, political cartoonist Thomas Nast continued to popularize the association between the Democratic Party and the donkey.

The elephant of the United States Republican Party was not originally a symbol, but was first used in November 1874 by political cartoonist Thomas Nast, who used an elephant to satirize the Republican Party, which was in chaos due to President Ulysses S.
