Airline service is one of the first brands recognized when visiting a foreign country. Among the various airlines, the brand design of a country&#039;s representative airline reveals the values and culture that the country holds dear. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018A &quot;flag carrier&quot; is an airline representing a country. While there are no international qualifications, it typically refers to an airline with a long history and high recognition, embodying the identity of a country or nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The commonly used term &quot;national airline&quot; refers to an airline headquartered in a specific country, encompassing a wide range of airlines. &quot;National airline&quot; refers to an airline operated by a government, while &quot;national airline&quot; refers to an airline that carries out national policy objectives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this article, we explore how the logos of flag carriers around the world are designed. KLM&#039;s logo features a crown, the symbol of the Dutch royal family, emphasizing its status as the national airline of the Netherlands. The logo&#039;s color, blue, symbolizes trust, purity, and the sky.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Croatia Airlines, the national airline of Croatia, uses a design inspired by the red and white checkered pattern of the Croatian flag. The checkered pattern is a traditional symbol of Croatia and expresses the country&#039;s uniqueness and pride. This geometric shape adds a modern touch and can also be seen on the aircraft&#039;s tail.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Air Malta, Malta&#039;s flag carrier, features a design based on the Maltese Cross. The Maltese Cross symbolizes Malta&#039;s historical heritage and the traditions of the Knights Templar, demonstrating a strong brand identity. The logo&#039;s colors, deep and calming navy and yellow, convey a sophisticated and stable brand image. Navy blue symbolizes trust and dignity, while yellow symbolizes warmth and energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The logo of Turkey&#039;s Turkish Airlines is based on the Sel\u00e7uk bird, a flying goose. Inspired by the art and traditions of Turkey&#039;s historic Seljuk Empire, this symbol represents freedom and dynamism. The logo&#039;s colors, red and white, derived from the Turkish flag, highlight the airline&#039;s strong national identity. Red signifies energy and passion, while white represents trust and purity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Poland&#039;s LOT Polish Airlines uses the traditional symbol of the Polish airline, the &quot;\u017buraw,&quot; a flying crane. The crane symbolizes powerful flight and emphasizes the history and heritage of Polish aviation. The logo uses blue and white, derived from the Polish flag. The wordmark, using a simple yet powerful sans-serif typeface, reinforces Switzerland&#039;s precision and solid brand image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spain&#039;s Iberia Airlines uses a design combining red and yellow, inspired by the Spanish flag. Red symbolizes energy and passion, while yellow symbolizes warmth and Spain&#039;s vibrant culture. These curves symbolize speed and dynamism, emphasizing Aeroflot&#039;s position as Russia&#039;s flagship airline. Furthermore, the logo, which previously featured the hammer and sickle, a symbol of the Soviet era, has been modernized.
