MotoGP has unveiled a new logo and brand identity with design studio Pentagram for the 2025 season. The checkered flag logo introduced in 2002 has now been relegated to history, replaced by a minimalist design that reflects the speed, passion and dynamic nature of MotoGP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MotoGP explained that the new logo's 'M' represents two motorcycles turning a corner, 'O' represents a wheel, 'T' represents a rider, and the final 'GP' symbolizes the flow of the track. This is a design that emphasizes MotoGP's unique identity. In addition to the logo, the overall brand visual identity, including motion graphics, typography, and visual identity, has also been revamped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are very excited to unveil our new identity,\u201d said Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of MotoGP promoter Dorna. \u201cWorking with Pentagram has been an incredible experience and we are confident that our fans will love the result. A brand is more than a logo, and MotoGP is more than a sport. This process has helped us to clarify the essence of MotoGP and the direction we want to take.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This logo change also affects the logos of MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3. MotoGP is entering a new chapter ahead of the 2025 season, and is undergoing similar changes to F1. F1, in particular, introduced a new logo in 2017, and there are many similarities to this change in MotoGP, which has led to comparisons among fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The change is part of Dorna\u2019s acquisition by Liberty Media, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
