Casio has released a new watch ring, the CRW-001-1JR, to celebrate its 50th anniversary in digital watchmaking. Unlike smart rings, it doesn\u2019t have any health management features like fitness tracking or heart rate monitoring. Instead, it\u2019s a ring-sized version of Casio\u2019s iconic digital watch. It displays the hours, minutes, and seconds on a small LED screen, and can be used for things like a stopwatch, date, time zone change, and flashing alarms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CRW-001-1JR is made of a single piece of metal using the metal injection molding (MIM) method and has a backlight so that it can be used in dark environments. The battery lasts up to two years and is easy to replace, adding to its practicality. It is made in US size 10.5 and comes with several clear plastic spacers for users with smaller fingers. However, users with fingers larger than 10.5 may have difficulty wearing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Casio's digital watch ring is a follow-up to last year's collection of design-focused non-functional watch rings, this time with practical watch functions. This piece is available exclusively in Japan and costs 19,800 yen (about 180,000 won).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
