iOS 18 has been officially released. Unlike the previous approach of minimizing design personalization, you can now control a considerable number of areas. Unfortunately, Apple's intelligence features were not actively reflected. It is noticeable that the frequently used flashlight UI has been changed to be more intuitive and beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Call recording<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You can record calls in the Phone app. During a call, a recording icon will appear in the upper left corner. When you tap the icon, a notification will appear that the call recording will start. The other party will also receive an audio notification that recording has started. Tap the recording icon again or end the call to stop recording. The other party will also be notified when the recording is stopped. The recorded content will be saved to the Notes app. Apple Intelligence will transcribe the call content and even summarize it. This feature is only available on iPhone 15, Pro, and Pro Max. It is not yet known whether it will be supported on lower models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Free personalization<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You can place apps and widgets wherever you want on the home screen. You can place them in empty spaces instead of automatically aligning them up > down, left > right. You can set the color of the app icon to light\/dark mode, and you can also unify it to a single color tone. You can set the app name to not be visible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can freely adjust the widgets in the Control Center. Long-press on the control to adjust the size of the control and place it where you want. You can switch between multiple pages, so you can control connections or music playback in full screen depending on the context. You can also change the apps placed on the left and right at the bottom of the lock screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For security reasons, you can also set certain apps to require Face ID when opening them. You can do this by long-pressing on the app icon and it will disappear from the home screen. Hidden apps will be collected separately in a folder at the bottom of the App Library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enriched Message<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You can emphasize text using formats like bold, italics, underline, and strikethrough. You can also apply various animations, such as text that breaks or blinks. TapBack, which responds quickly to messages from others, now lets you send emojis or stickers instead of six gray icons. Recipients must update to iOS 18 to see the full effect. You can also schedule messages with iMessage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the big changes is improved messaging with Android. It provides the industry standard text format RCS (Rich Communication Services) and is compatible with Android Messages. You can now see an animation indicating that you are writing a message and confirm that it has been 'read'. You can also share high-quality images and videos. Unfortunately, the speech bubble on Android phones is still green.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
